My dad gave me my moms iPad to back up a couple of months ago so we didn’t lose anything important since she passed away last year. The iPad was working fine when I got it but I simply did not have the time to do the back up until recently. I pulled it out of the cabinet I had stored it in and obviously it was dead so I plugged it in to charge. It was apparent the iPad was not charging after an hour so I contacted Apple Support. They set me up with the Geek Squad in Lee’s Simmit on Thursday but unfortunately they could not figure out the problem. I was feeling a little upset about this thinking we would have to toss it as it had no warranty but even so our goal was to back it up and not get a new one. I talked to my dad and he told me to take it to Fiks’d IT here in Warrensburg because they had fixed his iPad with a different issue. I took it in yesterday and explained the situation to Tyler that we really wanted to save anything we could on the device. I had another appointment to go to so I came back a few hours later. He explained his process and I just knew it was a lost cause but then he brought it out and turned it on. I instantly began crying in front of this poor guy and he hugged me. I didn’t realize how important this iPad was to me until it was saved. Tyler researched and did a number of things but didn’t charge me a dime. He was just happy to have gotten it to turn on. I am so grateful to him and highly recommend him and Fiks’d IT to everyone. Thank you Tyler!

Short form: my phone is working again in record time for way less than I expected and looks a lot better than it did before, too! Long form: When I dropped the phone last night, I ended up with a phone that made all sorts of sounds but had no screen that worked. T-Mobile gave me the contact info for Fix'd right here where I'm visiting in Warrensburg, and I called today shortly after they opened. Tyler figured if it was a dislodged connection as both of us thought (no visible cracks) it would not take long to handle, and if not he'd be able to order a screen. And indeed it was Not Long To Handle! With no phone to play with, sitting in the waiting space was less interesting than going on a wander, and a couple doors down there was a shoe store and I found some sandals and then came back probably within 20 minutes and at that point the glue was not quite dry. My gorilla glass honestly should have been replaced a year ago, so I also took Tyler up on his offer of applying a liquid glass protector on which another gorilla glass can be put later. (SO much nicer than a gorilla glass that had already mostly died in service of preserving the screen!) The repair and the hardener and the car charger I bought all came to less than I was expecting to pay for the repair at all. The store does computer work too, and I'm here for long enough that I think I'm going to bring my computer in for diagnostic -I may not be here long enough to get parts if necessary but knowing what exactly is making it eat new batteries will definitely be worth the time and money!

Had two cell phones fixed. Awesome job, they work like new again. A battery for an apple and a charging port for an LG. Highly recommend and the stay was great.
