Beautiful, elderly track that's tough and fair!

This is one of the most beautiful courses in the southern United States. I saw the LPGA tournament there and it was exceptional. The facilities are beautiful and all the people I met lived up to the tradition of southern hospitality. Even the state police, who have the tough job of keeping everything safe and traffic moving, were perfect ambassadors.

Great track, one of my favorite layouts in the area! Maybe not quite as nice as years past but by no stretch bad by any means! Overall everything was in pretty good shape. My only complaint was greens were a little slower then other courses in the area. Update 10/3/22 Played yesterday, course of still a notch above everything else in the area! No wonder they held the women's open here. The course is next level and the condition improves year over year to my surprise. Can't wait to play it again! Greens are still a little slow but they have so many undulations they would probably border unfair if much faster!

Really enjoy my time here. Obviously a world-class course as they hosted the U.S. Women's Open here. Nicer rooms than Mid-Pines and generally a better feel, although rustic.
