On 9/20/2022, I was terminated or “let go” from Huskey Truss and Building here in Murfreesboro, TN. The plant manager approached me at the end of my shift and I asked me to come outside to speak with him. I was then informed that he had to let me go and that it was nothing personal against me, but the market for building/selling houses was slowing down and he had to let 5 employees go. I was informed today that no one else was terminated and this has raised my suspicion that I was let go for discriminatory or “personal” reasons. I haven’t had any write ups or reprimands pertaining to my attendance or work ethic. I’ve reached out to HR several times to get a more in depth reason as to why I was let go, but still have yet to get any reasons. Update: I was just informed by some of my co-workers that someone else was hired and started yesterday Thursday 9/22/ 2022. If business was indeed slow for the company, I don’t see them being able to hire anyone new, but not keep me.
