Beautiful hikes. Be prepared for a workout. The trails meander through ups and downs and rolling hills. Peaceful and quiet. Tent sites available (primitive) and restrooms.

Very nice and beautiful trails that are dog friendly! And stroller friendly. Great for hiking and enjoyment!

Fantastic experience despite some obstacles. Let's start off right away by saying the trails are smooth, but consist of steep hills. Also some of the trails have sections of mud pits and horse poop is everywhere. The woods are beautiful, and foot traffic is a minimum on the trails. The sites are primitive, and I would recommend digging cat holes instead of sitting on on the bivys that are provided. At night the mice will zerg rush your campsite and sound like a calvary charge when they rustle through the leaves. The nearby abodes on the lakes are lake homes and not cabins, so expect silence by around 9pm. Overall it's state park quality without a disney land attendance. I would camp here again.

Awesome park, what a hidden gem. Got here in early spring and no bugs!

Many moons ago, Tina and Terry took a moon light drive. They were young dumb and and so in love. It was the dead of winter when Terry decided to take this dad's brand new car without telling him. Terry had no experience driving at all much less in winter. But he wanted to impress Tina. So when Tina saw him pull up and his dad's brand new car she was impressed she jumped right in didn't second guess it. For a while everything was going smoothly. Terry took to driving fairly quickly. As a night grow on What was once melted on the road became ice. Terry was going much too fast for the situation but he didn't realize it. As he turned the car they hit a patch of ice and spun out of control. They went crashing down a hill, Terry somehow magically and maneuvered around all of the trees. Until they got to the bottom which was low land and they came to a stop. Tina wasn't responding to Terry at all. She had hit her head and was knocked unconscious. They were deep in the woods...
