In July 2021 I visited the range several times. I found it only 20 minutes from Nampa with paved roads the whole way. It is definitely very busy on weekends. I recommend bringing your own targets etc. and shooting rest or portable bench. The range would be safer if folks would set up their shooting positions deep enough in the bays to prevent weapons from being pointed towards shooters in the other bays. This was a problem the three times I was there. (i.e. the 180 degree rule) Other than a latrine there is no water or other services. Come to the range equipped for being in the wilderness. June 2022: Visiting the range again. Nothing changed that I noticed. Last year I never thought to check cell coverage in case of an emergency. Just checked and at lease my carrier had zero reception. The 180 degree rule remains a problem. The lane we choose had some garbage targets such as old electronics that were shot up but generally speaking the range was clear of refuse. The range opens at 7 am and closed at 6:30 pm. Somewhat puzzled by the early closing time given the amount of daylight left but I assume partiers etc might gather or there would be other problems. I noticed a video camera at the gate and that the gate can be closed but I've never been there at a time to see if the gate is closed after hours.

Excelent shooting range.

Like normal, idiots come on the range unsupervised and drag them down the range and shoot them to bits. I have a current letter into the board offering to make them metal ones.
Well, I know that the Canyon County Commisioners run it with an advisory board. I dont know of an address, but you could forward anything through the clerk of the county commisioners to the board. I think its community owned.
All the lanes can contain more than one shooter, they are wide enough... if you park your can across a smaller lane though noone else can shoot there, I've seen a few do that.
Yes, it is an unsupervised open public range.
Yes
I have personally only seen one person with a compound there, but i dont see why not... a range is a range. Just remember to bring something to shoot at.
There is an advisory board for the range, they can be contacted through the County Commisioners Clerk
87 yards safety 100 is maybe one range that is hard to get but most lanes are 87 according to a Bushnell range finder
