Great spot! It can get a little crowded but most people are very respectful of personal space. If you have little ones this is a great place, the water is pretty shallow for quite a ways out. All of the kids in our very large group had a blast. You get great shade in the afternoon and there's almost always parking no matter what time you go. There's also a foot washing station near the parking lot. I believe a bike/hiking trail as well.

There are charcoal grills at the picnic tables
Bbq at Kiva was open on July 7. Sometimes they close the Bbqs because of fire danger.
