Expect to spend good money on groceries at this location, but do not expect good service. I complained about their Mascarpone cheese going bad in the fridge and wasting other ingredients as I failed to make the family’s favorite cake for our child’s birthday the evening before the party. A lady named Julie behind the customer service desk spent about 15 minutes making me feel unwelcome and uncomfortable, then proceeded to refund me $19 😅 in the end. Instead of letting me know she is sorry this has ever happened, she spent my time telling me that I should bring a receipt or the product (LOL moldy cheese) back NEXT TIME THIS HAPPENS, all the while she was easily able to find every single one of my receipts online, including the one in question. She is not trained, nor does she understand (or bother to notice her regular customers) that a customer who has come to the store every single weekend for the past 3 years paying $150-$300 (that’s $10K a year at the minimum) doesn’t care to wait in her customer service line to offer the knowledge of rotten cheese to Whole Foods. The store should know that themselves, that’s what we pay for. If instead of letting me know the ways I am wrong and she is right she offered words of compassion and a $100 store credit to refund for the spoiled ingredients (about $35-40 total) plus as a gesture of good will, I would have come back to give this place another chance. Obviously not. We’re gone to Lunardi’s. This incident pushed us to try Lunardis and we are going to stay there. Apparently Whole Foods wants to charge high prices but is not willing to provide good customer service. Plus the store is now overrun by personal shoppers, it’s hard to move around.
