I recently moved to this area, bought a home with a Kinetico system in it. Soon after I got the welcome letter offering a free inspection. Guy came out, told me (honestly!) that my system was still up to date, working well, no upgrade was appropriate. Nice. Had another guy come this week, free water test, found some issues, but not serious. He opened a basement drain tap to flush some water out, finished his work, and we went out of the basement, then he left. Seemed nice. Two days later I stepped downstairs to the sound of running water. He'd never turned off that tap! 48 hours of free gusher water, down my drain! Thankfully no flooding or damage, but lots of time and power wasted in my well system. Not pleased.

I paid $6000 dollars for a water system 7/2020 which is to take iron out. Supposed to be under warranty for five years. Charged $160 just to have a tech out. Not able to reach staff they don't return calls or answer phone. I would expected a $6000 purchase to last longer than two years and not to pay for a service call when still under warranty.

We had a system for quite awhile from Kinetico and all of a sudden we had no water pressure in our house. I called for service and two guys came out. It turned out the Kinetico system had blown up and spewed some sand type of substance all through my water system. They disconnected the unit. They got the sinks running by removing the filters at the taps but left me with no working toilets, dishwasher, and washer. They said I’d have to get a plumber. I had to pay them $159 for a service call. They left the softener sitting disconnected in my basement. I had to fix the toilets by disconnecting them and cleaning out the hoses and the one toilet I had to replace the fill valve. The shower head had to be taken off and cleaned. I’m going to have to pay a service call to an appliance service person to get the water valve cleaned in my washer and dishwasher. I had to carry the softener out to the street to be hauled away by the trash. It was super heavy. For $159 I sure didn’t get any help and the guys who came out acted like they really didn’t care. My husband bought the softener from Kinetico and the plan was to buy another . But, it won’t be from Kinetico! After the treatment they gave me it won’t happen.
