My mother has a signet ring, she bought with her very first paycheck when she was 15. That was 57 years ago, and the company she bought it from is no longer in business...and even if they were, they'd be located half a world away. She had a medical emergency recently and the EMT's cut the ring off her finger, because arthritis made it impossible to remove it normally. It's not an expensive ring by any standard, but it's sentimental value is priceless! And not to just to my mother, but everyone in our family. I brought the ring to Ybarra Bros and asked if they could fix it and make it a little bigger, so it could go on easily despite her arthritis. Andre was very helpful and definitely understood the personal meaning of the ring to me and my family. I was given a week estimate and a very fair price for the work I was asking for. I agreed and left the ring in their capable hands. What I didn't know yesterday, when I dropped the ring off, was that Alphonse was listening to the story of the ring from his office and decided to make it a priority job. Alphonse called me today to say that the ring was ready and I was shocked. I rushed over to Ybarra Bros and sure enough it was and Alphonse told me that he had made it his priority job. Ybarra Bros treated my mother's simple signet ring like it was a priceless piece from the crown jewels. The best part was that I got the ring back on my mother's birthday and was able to return it to her. It made her day that much more special and she would look at it constantly and admire the work done. I will definitely be shopping there myself and I know that if I need a piece repaired, where to take it.
