It’s been so long since I’ve been to the DMV, I didn’t know it’s an appointment location. I only had to wait about 15 minutes to get in between some appointments. Happy with the service.

The DMV schedules certain times during the week to give the written test. Best bet is call and ask them when they've got the next scheduled.

No way does the Public Safety Department take checks. No public office takes checks at all. Sorry.
Wow. I have no idea. No one in my family ever got one We just hot the actual Driver's License.(except for my Class A CDL Permit I had to get while I was in training for the real deal. Each Permit comes in different forms for different applications and prices vary. 😎

Typically, a Driver's License lasts 4 Years. If you are past the Expiration Date and need to Renew, I don't know what the 'Grace Period' is (or even if there IS one). After a period of time, you'll be required to take your Test (Written and/or Driving) over again.
