Love this place! Been going here for years, staff is very friendly and courteous, can't beat the matinee prices and the popcorn... damn... I remember the time I went out for a refill for my popcorn and the owner Skip was out in the lobby playing his banjo, it's such a homely environment and you always feel welcome!

The place was a bit dirty but the screen was not, the chairs are uncomfortable but it seems to be a really old place so I guess that can pass, like all movie theaters everything is wildly expensive but the one thing that I can commend them for is the cheap tickets, some as low as 5 dollars.

I really enjoy the Avon Theatre. It's always clean and comfortable. Skip Houston always makes you feel welcomed. I have seen many great movies here, each time the atmosphere is happy and pleasing. Even when the movie isn't the best, it's still fun to get out and be with other people.
