Really nice for skateboarders

Happened across this place while in NOLA on vacation. Nice big bowl, street course and assorted grind areas. There is a halfpipe in the process of being constructed, needs ply and masonite to be complete. My son really enjoyed it and made new friends while there. Being under the overpass keeps folks out of the sun.

Wow! The contribution to upkeep and build new ramps and table tops from the local community is amazing from buying all new wood and repairing the halfpipes to buying hamburger meat and buns and feeding everyone that's there .... let alone the concrete work with the actual in ground pool the drop in pools for truck riding and grinding very amazed and proud of the city of new Orleans for actually doing something for the communities around investing money into activities that will keep many youth and older kinds busy to avoid complete negative and toxic activities. This place is huge Friday and Saturday nights they have music going sometimes concerts always having a good time all skaters bikers rollerblades razors bmx bikes welcome even spectators COME CHECK IT OUT IT'S WORTH IT IF YOU NEED SOMETHING TO DO...

No. No tax dollars paid for its construction, and no tax dollars pay for its maintenance. That said your fellow skaters clean & paint it as volunteers, so help them by not tagging and pick up behind yourselves. Thanks.
Glad you mentioned the dont snake part..lol.. to be honest.. I'd have no problem with scooters ever really aside front the occasional ledge chunk..(we skateboarders are guilty of the same lol) if it was clear that snaking on those can kill(or at least hurt really.ff.. oh yeah I'll probably be removed for cursing on this huh?) Well u get my point.. scoot all you want. My kid was into these and he f.. ripped.. oh well not delete n that one.. skate or die man.. or scoot or die? Not sure what yaw say but keep rippin! Just be conscious of the ledge angles too.. I like um buttery.. ok I put the dot jawns so it won't be deleted... lol and now yaw can see that I'm a ramblin fool lol
Yes
Yes, just be careful. It's your responsibility to take care of it. Watch out for the skaters!
From I-610 West, take the Paris Ave exit. At the bottom of the exit ramp, go straight through the intersection and park. You're there. From I-610 East, take the Saint Bernard Ave. exit. At the bottom of the exit ramp, take a left onto Saint Bernard Ave. and an immediate right onto Sere St. Go 4 blocks, take a right on Paris Ave. Go 3 blocks, park under the highway. Good luck and see you there.
A few spots may be skateble. The bowl is out, area around the mini ramp will be flooded.
Yeah, but park pegs only please. Remember this was paid for by donations, and fundraising...so don't trash it with metal pegs.
If it wasn't blown out by Ida. I'll check this week
I know of one.....
Yes, bikes are allowed. There's a bike shop I really like on Freret
Did you just ask and answer your own question for Google points?...and yes, only if they are skating...they aren't slides, its a skatepark, a child playing improperly can be hurt.
Yup. Just don't ride metal pegs on concrete coping. 🤘
Yes. They are yellow and not great for filming but they are definitely bright enough to skate safely
