I reached out via emal for a gorgeous pit that wandered or was dropped off at our farm . They were able to direct me on how to proceed and assure me that this sweet dog would get placed with them if local animal control couldnt find home with chip scanning etc It put me at ease that she would not end up being put down just because of being a pit.

In my opinion this place takes excellent care of the dogs with the ultimate goal of placing them in a home
I have a beautiful pitt her name is Lola, she just wants to be the boss .looking for a safe h me for her with no other dogs . Can't have 2 Chiefs in the house.
Great question Pamela. Athough I am not active in that area of the rescues operations, I recommend that you visit the rescues website and email in. More than likely Bridget will be the most current resource for your need. Also, a good Web search can ferret out a worthy result. Check your candidates background and proceed with as much wisdom as you show love for your companion. Good hunting and successful happy endings.
Im not certain they handle things like this as it is a breed specific rescue. However wouldn't hurt to ask...friendly staff! :)
I'm not sure but you.can message Ryan at The Fresno Bully Rescue. They are great people
I believe it depends on the animal. They got to cover cost. That's my understanding.
There is alot of factors that will trigger any dog to attack. Not just pits. Would need more information on what happened. I suggest calling a dog trainer that will come and see the environment first hand.
Your best option is to simply reach out via the website and arrange to meet. Each Pittie is individually screened both socially and medically. If you are the original owner please prepare copies of all shots and other documents so any transition may go smoothly.
Agreed, if you get terms like that... a new insurance provider you need.
Honestly it depends on how often your son's friend comes over to visit and how often your dog is around the friend. Sometimes it is a case of the dog being unfamiliar with him/her and simply takes time for the dog to ajust and learn to trust them. Also if your dog doesn't trust the friend, it will most likely snap if the friend goes to pet him suddenly. This building of trust will take time so be patient with it.
I have a stray pit bull will you be able to take her if you get this let me know
I agree.. I was babysitting a pit who's owner had past away... he was a great dog, but I ended up going to the SPCA... and he was microchiped!!! They sent him back to a previous shelter for a small fee...
As in take them with you to your new house?
He is good with other people but not other dogs
