All great questions! I'm the director of the camp, so I can help answer. Our camp counselors need to be 18 years old (occasional exceptions are made for those close to 18 who have graduated from our entire 4-week Staff In Training program). Each camp session is 1 week. Our counselors, in addition to their age, must pass our mandated background checks, complete an application (including essay questions), provide references, submit to an interview, and then successfully complete a two-week orientation/training. The most basic qualification needed is a desire to serve God through caring for campers while promoting our mission of biblical evangelism and growth in Christian character for youth, young adults, and families.
