Such a fantastic get away! The cabin was perfectly clean, cozy & relaxing. In a hidden gem, gated community (Snowline), with plenty to keep you busy all year round. Hiking trails, a river, breathtaking views everywhere you step, and a great little community center with all the amenities (pool, fishing pond, basketball, pickleball, tennis, air hockey, etc). Mt. Baker Lodging made it great experience all around & we’re already planning our return!

We booked a last minute trip to Mt Baker after finding Mt.Baker lodging through a random online search. I called to book reservations and was helped by an amazing employee. They answered all questions I had and made the reservations fast and painless. Loved that they offer specials as well. When we checked in the following week at the office, everything was explained and another smooth process! Our cabin (#52) was amazing and beautiful. We went for a little family vacay to relax and reset. We definitely had a great time!! The cabin had everything we needed and the hot tub was a huge hit (especially with the 5 year old). We will definitely make the trip again from our home in British Columbia.

Mt Baker Lodging has their act together! Staff is courteous and friendly giving straightforward instructions. Our cabin #48 was perfect for our break from a busy life. We enjoyed the hot tub, king bed (super comfy) wood burning stove and the good supply of wood! Our cabin was clean and had everything that was advertised. Hiking at Heather Meadows was awesome, we met some folks that gave us good recommendations and we enjoyed a lovely hike. We are excited to return and play in the snow.

My husband and I had a lovely time in Cabin 24. It had a beautiful view on the lake. The cabin had everything you needed from board games to kitchen necessities, to a grill, several places to sit, a large porch and more! However, there is a steep trail down to the cabin which was a little challenging as there are no handrails. I do recommend a walking stick to help you along the way. But once you arrive to the cabin, you will be amazed at the view and the peaceful setting. Thank you Mt. Baker Lodging. We really needed this getaway!

Questions & Answers

Are your cabins and condos ski-in/ski-out?

Hi There! Great question, glad you asked! Unfortunately, there is no ski-in/ski-out available at Mt. Baker. The closest public overnight accommodations are located approximately 17-miles west; in and around the town of Glacier. The distance in-between is national forest. Plan on about a 30-minute drive time to/from the cabins and condos +/- depending upon road conditions.

Will there be snow at the cabins/condos?

That's somewhat of a trick question. Our cabins and condos are located at an elevation of between 550 and 1000 feet above sea level. At that elevation, snow can be a bit "iffy". During some years we've seen as much as 3' of snow, while during others there has been none. Generally speaking; during the late fall/winter/early spring rental season, there is plenty of snow at the Mt. Baker Ski Area, which is approximately 17 to 26-miles east of the cabins/condos. Speaking of snow; all of our cabins are equipped with snow shovels and deicer. We always recommend bringing along traction devices (chains/cables) just in case they are required. There are no places in the immediate area to rent or purchase them, and it's far better to have them and not need them, than to need them and not have them.

Is there cell coverage at Mt. Baker?

Well, yes and no...but mostly no. If you have T-Mobile, you will probably be able to get a few bars up to about mile marker 30 (the "Glacier Springs" area). As for the other carriers...not so much! You can generally get limited coverage at the ski area as well, but that's about it. All of our cabins include land lines (remember those?!). Local (countywide) calling is free. Long distance can be accessed with a calling card. Plan on a largely "unplugged" vacation.

How reliable is the wifi at the cabins/condos?

Unfortunately, wifi service can be a hit-and-miss proposition up here. Sometimes it works great, while during other times it barely works or it doesn't work at all. When it does work, it's best suited for sending/receiving e-mail, but not for streaming purposes. Because this is a circumstance under which we have no control...when included with our vacation rentals, the service is not guaranteed and no refunds are provided. You will want to plan ahead accordingly.
