The Austin Stone is a Gospel Centered Churh that is unashamed of the gospel and spreading the good news of Christ. This was refreshing to come after living in the northeast for 4.5 years. The people are friendly and are eager to pray and get you connected into community. For those that are unsure about faith, this would be a great place to explore what you believe and ask questions. Not to mention the music is great, and the sermons are palletable. Can always catch up on them afterwards to study through Spotify or the churches app.

Went to this church 2014-2017 before moving away. I was in town for a weekend in Jan 2021 and was so excited to revisit the church that brought me closer to God but YIKES y’all have changed! You’re appeasing the world and their views > teaching God’s word. What happened to the goal of spreading the word? Or ending human trafficking going on in Austin??? Seriously the most awkward and inaccurate service I’ve ever been too. Pass.

Gotta say, churches that don’t update their websites and google maps create pretty poor experiences for those who’d like to visit. If this was a church that cared about visitors and outreach, they would not send visitors on wild goose chases around the city looking for worship service. This Sunday I’ve been to a 24 hour emergency room and the old location before finally checking the Instagram and realizing it was at Emos.
