Set-up like a Library. Books, videos, vintage books... Most hard cover books $2.00

What a lovely used bookstore! Most paperback books are a dollar and most hardcovers are 2 dollars. They also have a section of books for 50 cents. I went in and got 10 books for ~20 dollars. It seems like their inventory changes daily so every time you go in you’ll find something new!

i don't even wanna write about how amazing this store is -- cheap and full of awesome books. check the hours before you set off.

One of my favorite places in Austin! We give away books for Halloween, and at 50¢ each for kid and YA books including hardcovers, this is the perfect place to get them! Great variety and affordable for teachers building classroom libraries and for any book nerd. It's the best!

Recycled Reads is now open, Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
I volunteer there and I can confirm that yes, they definitely are.
Books and music they'll take, just no magazines (source: i spent rhe last 8 months dontaing many boxes of things). Make sure to check the hours, as they aren't open every day of the week. Pull around back and ring the doorbell and they'll bring a cart out!
Yes. They take book donations.
They are books from Austin libraries that have been taken out of circulation and donations from the community...All of the books are for sale.
Yes, they have a generous manga section as well as many graphic novels on occasion.
Closed for the time being. Check back on their site for most up to date schedule
I can't say for sure, but I don't recall having ever seen newspapers for sale there.
I personally haven't and don't know if Recycled Reads does either...R.R.is operated by the City of Austin,so they could answer the question.
Check their hours on the web site. If you don't have a really large donation, you can usually drop off during regular hours. There is a door around the back of the building. Ring the bell and someone will take your donations.
