First time visiting, i got lost but it wasn't bad, os a huge place, lot's to see and also conference rooms everywhere. You have to visit as part of a Charlotte tour.
All of the answers are correct. It will take you physically 1/2 hour to walk through the facility. How much time you spend at each exhibit/item will dictate your day. So basically 2 hours up 6 hours is a good estimate. Do not make any other plans that day. The fact that you are asking the question tells me you are a NASCAR fan. Go inside, take your time and enjoy it. You will be in there for several hours. It's bad ass.
Why are black and white colors chosen to represent the colors on the checkered flag in auto racing

Auto racing. The check pattern is commonly used as a symbol because of its ability to contain contrasting colours and prominence. In auto racing, a checkered flag is used to indicate that the race has finished because it is identifiable. The origin of this flag and the reason for its usage in racing are undetermined.
Listen to Sirius XM 90, NASCAR Radio and jump into the conversation at an appropriate time or theme. NASCAR listens to callers / fans' opinions. If your driver/owner/crew chief has NASCAR Race wins, championships or meets current criteria, suggest him/her for consideration. Just a thought. BTW, NASCAR Hall of Fame is well worth visiting.
If the hall is only going to induct one Pioneer a year ,then please consider that most of their families and fans who want them there will be dead. Please be respectful and remember where it all started.

Very true, I feel that all NASCAR drivers should be mentioned from the first beach race to the last race ever raced. To me they are all heroes.

They have a discount for military. It can help cut the cost of a visit, while saying thank you to folks who serve in the military. Kudos to the Hall of Fame for this acknowledgement.
Around 34 with unlimited entrances to the simulator, well worth it if the kids like it. My wife paid the 25 without a simulator. A single entry to the simulator is 25 + 5
Good morning, you don't have to book.
The cost varies depending on what you want to enjoy.
I do not remember the exact amounts but there are three options, the basic one that is around $ 28 that includes general admission and an entrance to the simulator, the second option is around $ 36 and it allows you unlimited access to the simulators and the last Option is around $ 48 includes unlimited everything, a stop at Pits (Lunch, decent) and $ 10 to be spent in the store when leaving.
I opted for the last one because of the price-value, it seemed better to me and I do not regret it, even though when I got to the store I was able to verify their prices, it is not that they are high but, it depends on the budget of each more, among everything, I could make a favorable purchase. There is a Cap and Flannel option that I found spectacular and I have enjoyed it.
The garage is not free. Know that attendance to the hall does not equate to validation either. However if you purchase a certain membership it covers your parking.
Since it was Father Day it might have been a special price. I paid $45. That was for brunch, 2 family pictures in a HOF frame and entrance to the Hall of Fame. You also got 25% off in the gift shop. Well worth it. Want to go again.
While it would be "possible" the NASCAR hof uses its big screen to show broadcast excerpts from previous races, memorable moments, and can also show videos when hosting events in the downstairs lobby area.
25.00 per adult but they have upgrades you can purchase, we got the 34.95 package which was a lanyard and interactive card and unlimited simulator rides which was worth the money.
They have every year for the last 4-5 years! Last year got Alex Bowman's autograph. Usually have to get online a week or two in advance to get tickets for certain sessions. I guess not this year. I don't see anything about it on their website.
When is the NASCAR Hall of Fame induction for the class ooff 22019?

Jenn Jones | Oct 16, 2018
Annual inductions take place at the beginning of the year. The NASCAR Hall of Fame 2019 induction will be January 31st through February 2nd 2019. http://www.nascarhall.com/inductees/induction-ceremony
Adult $25
Senior (65+) $22 with ID
Military $18 with ID
Children (3-7) $12
Youth (8-12) $18
All prices include tax
They also have combo packs that include food and souvenir items ranging from $30 to $40
You could have checked the holiday schedule yourself as fast as it took you to pose the question. My guess is that since the Indy 500 is this weekend and Monday is a holiday the NASCAR Hall of Fame WILL be open. They will probably be very crowded too.
I parked 'catty-cornered' in an open lot. It was also game day for the Panthers and I parted with a $20 bill. But after experiencing the Hall of Fame, it was well worth it. Street parking? Be aware that hours and violations on Sundays are the same as weekdays.
It's been open since 2010 and they induct five drivers every year ...they started with Dale Earnhardt Sr. Along with Richard petty ....there are currently 40 drivers in the h.o.f and the induction is in January featuring red byron ...Nascars first champion
