I lost my mother in law because her kidney were dehydrated. My mother in law could not speak and walk. Care people or nurses, suppose to turn her every two hours to help keep blood flowing and stop bedsores, and they suppose to keep give her water because she cannot ask and talk. They never give her water so her Kinsey were dehydrated

So short staffed can't provide the care residents need and they should stop taking in new residents knowing they do not have the staff to care for them. My heart goes out to the residents who have no one there to advocate for them. This facility is in such a sad state. Making other arrangements for my mother she is getting out of here!!

This is far the worst place ever and I hate that my mother is there. Last night she was locked out for 15 mins before we could get anyone to come to the door and tonight I took her out to eat and when we got back we waited 12 mins outside before someone came to let her in and the nurse looks at me and I said bout time someone came to the door and she turns to me and says she doesn't care and then slams the second door on my mom's face locking us in the lobby for about six extra minutes during this time my mother was getting sick in the trash can and I was calling the corporate number and looking up numbers to file complaint with the state. As all this was going down I was videoing the whole time so I have proof...the staff is so abusive and I've witnesses up close and personal not to mention rude.. You mark my words ....today is Sunday and I will be spending my Monday making calls and getting something done. You people have mistreated the wrong family..

There are many decisions that go into the process of choosing a nursing home for yourself or someone you care for. It is normal for the family and the resident to experience some degree of anxiety about the move. A life change as important as moving into a nursing home should be handled with care and should be made as comfortable as possible. Residents and family members can make the transition easiest by remaining informed and by proactively seeking a caring environment where the resident will feel most at home. During the transition, frustrations may occur while your loved one is becoming accustomed to the new surroundings.

Hospitals are designed for patients who have serious medical problems that can be treated only in a hospital. Insurance companies may review and stop insurance benefits when you no longer need acute hospital care. A nursing center can provide the continuing medical care and rehabilitation services you need to help you recover from illness or injury so that you can return home as soon as possible.

The social worker at the hospital or nursing center will assist you in determining the appropriate payer source (which may include Medicare, Medicaid or private insurance). If you need Medicaid to cover the cost of nursing home care, you will be referred to a Medicaid worker to help you with the Medicaid application process.
