My mother is a resident of Wellington and my family can’t say enough wonderful things about this facility. Prior to the pandemic we always thought Wellington was a lovely place with dedicated and caring employees. Enter the pandemic and they had to go beyond what they bargained for as a facility. From the nurses (Shout out to head nurse Cathy), nurses aides, laundry and cleaning staff, food services, activities staff, front desk, Caroline (the wearer of many hats) and lastly Alexis, director of the facility who made sure the rules were followed by the state even though that had to be quite a burden. PROPS TO YOU ALL! And THANK YOU for EVERYTHING! Highly recommend if you’re looking for a place for a loved one. ❤️

I would recommend Wellington, but that doesn't mean I am completely satisfied. Since my mother has been a resident there, we have had a constant problem with her laundry being lost, misplaced, not returned when supposed to be or not picked up at all. I have now decided to do her laundry myself. In addition, I have NEVER been happy with the cleanliness of her room. First of all, I understand my mother is a slob. However, when an entire week passes and I know the floor has not been swept or washed, this is a problem. I know this because I watch the same dirt or sticky spot on the floor for that long. I end up sweeping myself or washing that section of the floor. Last week, a lovely woman was cleaning the roommate's side. I told her that we were leaving the room so she can get to the my mom's side to clean. I know she vacuumed the roommate's side, because she did that while we were still there. However, she never vacuumed my mother's side. The same debris was on the floor when I returned 2 days later. Why can't the cleaning staff be required to sweep and wash floors every day? The staff is wonderful. My mother loves the people who work there. I always observe them being caring and helpful to the residents. They are always very nice and smily to me. That is not the problem. Maybe they need more time to do each apartment? Maybe they need more supervision? The food is fantastic. My mother always has wonderful things to say about the food. And the dining hall servers are fun, funny and respectful. The few times I had lunch with my mom, the food was very tasty. Since Wellington was bought by another company, they have made very nice changes to the aesthetics of the building. It is far more appealing than it was before. Please, please! Now take the effort to pay closer attention to what is going on in the actual resident's apartments.
