We just moved here from Georgia. We wanted to find our new local pizza place of choice. Today we ordered an XL Pepperoni Pizza, Medium Ground beef, spinach and mushroom pizza and a garden salad. This was the absolute worst pizza I have ever had. Not in the dough, but sprinkled on top before sauce, are WAY too many spices. I come from an Italian family so I am aware of which spices should be plentiful and which ones she be kept at bay. The overuse of fennel seeds create the most atrocious taste. Much too strong for children. The spinach on the medium pizza tasted as though it had not been washed, and I requested extra cheese to which no avail. We added extra ranch to the salad and paid for the extra ranch, however that was not added to the bag. Pizza is heavy in our rotation so I hope we find a good pizza place. We took our children to The Pizza Inn last week and that pizza was a huge mark above La Cucina. I never leave terrible reviews, but wow. This was quite shocking.

Most definitely the best Italian food I've had in NC so far.... and I've lived here 30 years. From the phenomenal customer service to the amazing food, my entire visit would get 10 stars if I could give them!

This place gives horrible service. We arrived at 5:38 pm today and ordered two calzones and two drinks. We weren't given a receipt with an order number and they didn't take our name for the order at the register. After 20 minutes my husband went back to the register to ask how we were to know if our food was ready and we were told they knew to bring it out. At 6:15 my husband went back up to the register to ask why it was taking so long and was told our calzones were in the oven and would be done in a few minutes. At 6:42 we still hadn't gotten our food. My husband calls from the booth we are waiting in to the register of the restaurant and asks if we can get a refund since we still hadn't received our food. Calzones usually take 20 minutes at the most to bake and if ours had been in the oven they would be burnt by then. They said yes we could get a refund. They offered no explanation or apology, but at least had the decency to refund our money after an hour and 20 minutes later. We will never give this place another chance.

Hardly NY style, lol. This is thick crust with cheap cheese. Please stop advertising NY Style, you're no better than Papa John's. Seriously, this is the worst pizza I've had in a long time, and you should be embarrassed to call this NY Style!
