I have been a customer of Village Tailor/Charlton Cleaner since I moved to the neighborhood in 1994, 28 years. Several months ago I picked up a dress and discovered the sash missing. I brought the dress back in the original bag and asked if they could look for the sash. Kirby, the new manager, began by telling me that maybe I had used another dry cleaner. I pointed out that the bag was the same bag they used. They then said that they would check the video to make sure I in fact brought the dress to them. After waiting weeks for them to check they video Kirby said they would remake the sash for the dress. Last week they returned the dress with a piece of mismatched ribbon. Initially I had hoped they would just look for the sash. I would have accepted an apology and some credit as the dress was no longer wearable. Instead I was accused of attempting to cheat the dry cleaner I have been loyal to for 28 years. Never again. I am now using Sullivan Cleaners, they do a nice job and they already know my name!

I started going to Village Tailor & Cleaners when I moved to the neighborhood and was met with a warm welcome right away. Their customer service is fantastic (shoutout to Kerby!), and I'm always happy with the quality of the work (I’m a regular for wash&fold and dry cleaning). Highly recommend!
