It was very interesting to hear about how the US gave the Germans land here in texas

Not impressed! Its not a big musuem and pricey. We spent an hour there and seen and read everything they had to offer. Tried asking questions about my German sur name and Sylvia told me "oh that would be $10-$15 an hour for THEM TO RESEARCH." Then rambled on for another 10 minutes about insignificant information. She did make sure she got me the business card for their archives coordinator. She also referred me to their web site claiming I could do my own research. When I tried their website, the first thing that pops up is DONATE! The menu is blocked by their cookies statement and unless you agree you can't get to the menu. The musuem for active duty military is free which is nice however, if you are a retiree it doesn't matter to them.
