10/10! Very professional, kind, and very knowledgeable! They were so sweet to my cat name sonny. I was so scared with what’s going on as a pet parent but honestly they treated my baby with so much respect, love, and care. I’m going to switch over to this animal hospital :) sonny and I are very grateful for the experience we’ve had

I have been bringing my pets here since the 1980's. It certainly is a different experience with the doctor on duty this week. Blood test results arrived on Monday. I've been trying to get a call back from this doctor since that time since I was told there is a liver issue. There is no excuse for this type of disconnect. I am told my 13 year old pet needs antibiotics, other meds and additional X-rays due to a liver problem all without a doctor call back to explain what is happening with my fur baby and explanation of the test results. Dr. Dorney (father), owner, I miss you! When I asked to speak with Dr. Dorney today I was told he does not return calls. Shocking experience. I never write reviews like this but I am just so frustrated by this experience.

I would NEVER recommend Summit Dog and Cat Hospital. The one good thing about this establishment is the reception, they are kind and caring people who are trying their best. In general, they overcharge by extreme amounts. The only reason I selected them in the first place was because all the other Vets in town were not available until later in the month. More specifically: I had given the vet a list of vaccines and things that I wanted them to do for my dog since I am with an organization that requires certain vaccines at certain times. We are NOT allowed to stray from that schedule. I informed them of this and was asked if they could give a different vaccine on the next visit. I told them that if approved, I would tell them. When I went in for the visit they had given him the vaccine anyway without my consent. Then, they made me pay for that vaccine. In this same visit they did not weigh him or give him a dewormer. The $20 dewormer was free, but I would have also liked to get my money back for the vaccine that was provided without any consent. When my dog was sick I had a few questions for the Vet. I watched a Vet Tech speak to the Vet, the Vet looked at us for a second and slinked away. The Vet Tech came back telling me that the Vet would call us. The Vet never called. Another issue that I had was with perscriptions. I tried to get the heartgard and nexgard from Chewy from the Vet and they just never accepted. I called them many times and my dog could just not get the perscriptions he needed. My neighbor brought their dog in for dental cleaning and came out with two teeth missing. They did not tell them until after the surgery that they pulled two teeth. I am completely done with this establishment. They do things without your consent constantly and upcharge by so much. EDIT: Vet did NOT provide Lepto shots although it was on the sheet. It was also a shot that is considered a "core" vaccine. When my dog's medical records were sent to me, it was apparent he was not properly vaccinated. I was assured MANY times his DHPP2 included Lepto, and I constantly asked. When I went to my new vet they said he absolutely did not have the vaccines required. I was also charged for Lyme and apparently it was never given, so my issue of unconsentual vaccines doesn't apply now I guess. Instead, they just lied and charged me for it.

My dog had a cough and the doctors recommended some medicine and we noticed her heart beating very hard as soon as she started taking it. Yesterday she had a heart attack and passed away in front of me. Would not recommend this place for serious problems.
