Beautiful and neat facility. I have worked in many facilities, hospitals, assisted Living, Memory care, nursing homes etc., Christ’s Home is one of good ones, bathrooms well stocked with patient care items, advanced technology, overall very responsive to patient demands and requests. The only CON visiting Christ’s Home was my encounter with a nurse on the B wing where I was assigned, she was not receptive/welcoming at all towards agency workers, nursing students (apparently dislikes their presence) and very snappy, rolls her eyes when you knock on the nurse’s station with patient requests, not very informative (essential to providing quality care to patients). This attitude contradicts the name of this facility. A report was given to the administrator at the end of shift who listened and hopefully there will be more training/counseling to all workers especially this particular nurse (L) on B wing (apparently her personality as others reported their experiences with her). I canceled all future shifts and will not return to work in this facility as my very first experience was unpleasant.

I have no idea what it's like now but in 1960s-1970s, there was a lot of abuse. Thank God the original guy that directed the children's program has passed away, such a horrible, horrible man. All the staff there were absolutely horrible people. Too many horrible, disturbing memories to even think good of the place.

My mother in-law was here for about a month earlier this year. The staff was wonderful and they took good care of her. It's a beautiful facility.
