This is my son’s 6 year old service dog, Cody. One year ago, we were told by Denver Animal Emergency that we should euthanize him. We chose to pick him up and take him to NC State Vet Hospital. Both NC State and our regular vet could not understand why we were told to put him down. Yes, he has gastrointestinal issues but with proper support, medicine, a special diet, and time he is a happy, healthy thriving dog that helps us keep our son safe. So thankful that we got a second opinion! I honestly get sick to my stomach when I think about how close we came to putting Cody down.

If I could I wouldn’t add a star, the service was terrible I went in to get a surgery and they didn’t get to my dogs until after five hours, and my dog waited for. When I asked whey hadn’t started the surgery ,While to get service and they told me to leave and until my dog was done or they’ll unplug the breathing apparatus . that was helping my dog. Do not go to this emergency vet. also charged very expensive . I know enenergency is expensive ,this is not my fist time go to emergency room for my pet .but never been like that . we finally got our dog back the doctor told me if anything happens don’t bring your dog back here and didn’t care about her operation . I doubt it’s a hospital there

Do not go here, bad service, my dog didn’t get service until way past the original time I brought her in.

Traveling with older pets can be a challenge. We ran across such challenge recently and used Denver for treatment of our ailing dog. What an amazing staff and facility. They got us right in, treated the little guy and got us back on the road in superb fashion. The Dr was knowledgeable and personable. Many thanks and kudos to all at Denver for being there when we needed you!!

Hi Erin! Yes, we will see small mammals like guinea pigs. It does depend on what doctor we have working. It is always best to call first. We do take appointments so you can call us anytime. 🐾❤️
Thank you for your question! Sorry for the delay in responding. Yes, calling is always the best (quickest) way to get a quote on prices. The doctor working will be happy to answer any questions you may have. 🐾
Hey Amy, Thanks for reaching out! I wish there were an easy and straightforward answer to your question, but there is not. If you would like to have your ferret seen at our office I would encourage you to call ahead first. Not all of the vets that work at Denver Animal Emergency are able to see an exotic species like a ferret. For a jumping off point our exam fee is $99. Anything further would be discussed with you and they can let you know why they recommend to run the given tests as well. If your ferret is so sick that it is not eating it likely should be seen, and sooner rather than later. Please feel free to call the office with any questions any time! 980-222-7115 Thanks again,
This is a great question. It is a common misconception that injections for fleas for any animal exist. Currently there is no injection that I am aware of to treat fleas. We do carry a topical flea product that is labeled for use in cats that can be used off label in sugar gliders. I hope this helps! If you would like more information about the product please feel free to call or email us directly and we can discuss more.
That is a veterinary specialist and we do not have one on staff. If you need any recommendations you are welcome to call our hospital and we can help get you to the best facility. Thank you!
Check Facebook... I've seen a lot of people find their lost animals on Facebook.. if not you can give a special home a new friend
