I took my elementary kids for field trip. Had a great experience.

Overall, it's good to visit once. But, the tickets seems kind of overpriced.

Wonderful shaded walk with lots of animals

Park is clean, easy to navigate and fun to interact with the animals. Took kiddos from 2-13, all had a great time!

No they don't but maybe you can bring your own
A family bought it and they are doing renovations to reopen it.
All passes are for the whole day! You can take as long as you like. Bring Your own picnic and make a longer day of it, letting your kids revisit their favorite animals again! We spent about 3 hours there.
First time, we were sold bags, second time we got commemorative cups. It's plenty
Not all animals can be fed. The ones that can may be fed at any time.
Admission fee
The hourly pay for the front workers is minimum wage but they really can use volunteers. Obviously if you're working with the animals that pay is different
All you have to do is go on to their website. It's very easy. I was able to do it quickly and without confusion
There are picnic tables inside and outside of the park for use. Food for people is allowed. Food for the animals is sold at the gift store. Please don't bring in outside food for the animals as we keep track of their diets.
There are some, bunnies, goats, sheeps, peacocks, rarely deers.
No
There isn't any really good places along the bank. It is very wooded and steep. There is the yellow river park near by that has quite a bit of bank access. I have seen canoe groups put in at the bridge , but there are some shoals just down stream.
Not yet. Almost
No, renovations are happening and it will reopen next year.
They are currently closed
Hang in there, folks! The park is almost ready for opening! This place will have many great changes as the years roll by!
The permitting progress has slowed them down a bit, but because they refuse to cut any corners and give the best they can offer here at the start of something that will be great for our community, they do everything by the book. They have a Facebook page with live updates.
Hello! This is Clint Murphy the zoological curator for YRWS. We are hard at work with various endeavors from bathroom renovations, to road paving, and new exhibit construction! We are not open at this time. However, we are hoping to open near the end of July. Fallow us on FaceBook for updates and opening dates.
Yes, they are crossing fingers that it can be open by the end of June or so.
We are still renovating. Please check the website or the yellow river wildlife sanctuary facebook page for updates. We hope to get open soon but the weather must cooperate.
I've had the privilege to work on the new bear's playground and the entrance. It is an overwhelming task that the very caring new owner took on. The changes are already fantastic with unbelievable plans for the future!!! Our community will love this icon more and more for years to come!
