Definitely need a 6' atleast. They may give you trade in credits I'm not sure, but I bigger board or a long board maybe at 7 or 8' you would be able to learn really easy but they are pricey.

Hey Bob. Thanks for reaching out. If I'm reading between the lines correctly regarding shapers, I'm guessing you're asking about ones you haven't already heard about. We have 3 local shapers here who make excellent longboards: Paul Martin, Richard Prause, and Josh Hoke. We have examples of all at the shop if you want to take a look. Open 7 Days a week, 10 AM to 6 PM. In addition we have other longboards from Ricky Carroll, Bing, Donald Takayama, Black Rose, as well as our own McKevlin's Surfboards made by the Ricky Carroll crew in Florida. Hi Colin. We have two options for you: You can trade in your board toward another surfboard (either used or new). Or, we can consign your board. The way that works: You set the selling price. When we sell the board for you, you can either get 100% of the selling price in a shop Gift Card, or you can get 75% of the selling price in a Check. If you need cash right away, you might consider trying a Pawn Shop or selling the board online (Ebay, Craig's List, etc.) I hope this helps! ---Tim
