My husband and I were thrilled to be building in the neighborhood that we have dreamed about living in for the longest time! However, that dream rapidly turned into an ongoing nightmare. To preface this: this is the second home we have built- our first home building experience with another company far exceeded the experience we've had with David Weekley Homes ("DWH"). To further that point - the first home we built was significantly CHEAPER than the home we built with DWH. Most consumers would expect to have the same, if not a better, experience when paying that amount more in a home. First, during our walk through prior to purchasing the home, it was SO bad I actually sat on the bathroom floor and cried. I was mortified this was the home we were about to buy and because we had already sold our prior home - backing out was not an option. I was informed there would be no blue tape to point out issues that needed to be fixed because, "The point of this walk through is to show you your completed home." It was FAR from perfect. The sales rep at that time immediately saw my disgust and offered to bring me back to tape the areas I wanted fixed. We did - and only about 1/3 of the things I wanted fixed were actually fixed. On top of that, our warranty representative has been the WORST nightmare to deal with. He is condescending, arrogant, and treats you like your some kid who doesn't know what they're talking about. For Example: Our Master Bathroom shower had a hole on the inside in an odd spot that my husband or I never noticed it...until the wall on the opposite side of the shower had a damp, indenting hole in it. We reached out to our warranty rep with our concern that water had gotten inside of the wall and he proceeded to tell us that he could not make it to the house that day to see the issue because he was "busy" but would send a contractor. He assured us that there's, "No way water would be able to get inside of the wall because they completely seal off the shower." Later, when the contractor shows up, he tells us there was DEFINITELY moisture in the wall and he would have to cut it open. Only then when the contractor relayed this information to our warranty rep, did he SUDDENLY have time to come over and check it out. Fast Forward - this hole has been in our wall for over a month now. Sitting there stagnant. During that pre-purchase walk through, I pointed out the floor in the master bathroom and that it was not even and had a "ripple" appearance to me. Again, rather than even taking what I saw into concern; our warranty rep proceeded to tell me, "it was supposed to be like that so the water can drain." Which would be TRUE - if there was a slight bowl where the actual drain was (...again, we DO have common sense). So naturally when we move in and take our first shower, the water sat and remained until we showered again the next day! It didn't drain. He hired a contractor to come and fix the floor, however instead of ripping up and fixing the whole thing - he tells them to just cute a hole in that ONE part and retile that ONE part...Here we are, about 8 months later from that and they are going to rip up the whole floor (when they fix that hole in our wall) because what do you know!! It STILL holds some water and is discolored from the rest of our tile floor. My husband and I have dubbed our warranty rep the band-aid guy because rather than fully fixing issues - he practically slaps a band-aid on them. My neighbor with the exact same home as me and a Super Shower upgrade has a beautifully done shower with tile up to the ceiling and tile in her arch - her shower is completely tiled! We even paid the same price and built around the same time! Unfortunately, even though I paid the same price for materials and labor - our shower is not completely tiled as hers is, yet no one can seem to tell me why we paid the same pice for less labor and materials. Just take my advice and build with a builder who CARES about quality and your concerns because we've had more issues than what this review will fit.

Our floor plans are not for sale. We thoughtfully select the right floor plan for each homesite as every homesite has particular characteristics and soil conditions that require engineering and attention to detail, affecting the suitability of a floor plan to the site itself.
You may make minor changes to floor plans. No foundation, exterior (front facade of home) or plumbing changes are available due to engineering, inspectors, etc. We do offer several exterior options for each of our floor plans. Some of our floor plans also include a variety of Flex Options, which allows you to choose how you want the space to be used based on your lifestyle and needs.
The construction of our homes is measured in 10 stages. Timeframes for each home can vary, depending on many factors, including material availability, weather, inspections and permitting.
