What in the actual H*#%? Nothing there. All boarded up. Unkept. Nothing to see. Why hasn’t this place been kept up, cleaned up and turned into a nice historical site for visitors to see and learn from? Super disappointed

Very cool little roadside attraction in Darien, Georgia. We stumbled upon the Plantation completely by accident as we got detoured off the highway for several miles, and were glad we did. There is no access to the inside, but you are allowed to roam the rather expansive grounds around the old deserted house, and there are several historical markers, explaining the history of the house and grounds. There is a road, but it's pretty torn up, and I recommend just pulling off the road and parking by the deserted bridge and walking up. Besides the house and the historical markers, there are also some dilapidated remains from several older structures, plenty of wildlife, a boat ramp where you can launch kayaks and canoes nearby. All in all, it's a very cool little historical (with those old creepy haunted house vibes) place to stop and check out if you find yourself in the area, or even just passing through. Definitely worth checking out and getting some good photographs and history lessons.

What in the actual He#*? There was nothing there. All boarded up. Run down. No information. Nothing to see. Why hasn’t this place been cleaned up and turned into a historical site?

After the shooting in Brunswick some people broke in and wrote black lives matter all through the house. They boarded it up and that's where it is now. And yes I would love to rehab this house it's got good bones

Are tours conducted there ? If so what are the fees ?
