We loved our stay here. It was quite and relaxing. Management was friendly. Cabin 50 was cute and the perfect size for me and my husband. We were just really looking for a place to lay our heads after a day of hiking up at Chimney Rock. So the smaller cabin was fine for us. We definitely will be staying again.

My best friend and I went for a weekend in September for the dirty dancing festival. We began our trip camping in a tent, but the next day we ended up having to get a cabin! The owners were amazing, sweet and caring. It was super quite and the campground and very peaceful! We have decided this will be a yearly trip and we will return to river creek.

We were so excited to get there. Checked in. Down the hill we go to site. First words out of my mouth. You gotta be kidding me. Cramped spaces. We could see bottom of river. Barely flowing stagnant swarming with mosquitos. So we walked back up the hill to the 1 and only restroom. I would have rather used a port a potty. Spiders hanging from sink and crawling on toilet. The so called game room looked in disrepair. So back down the hill we went and in the car and headed back home. Good thing we only live 80 miles away. Do not waste your money here.

We thoroughly enjoyed our overnight stay. It was a treat to have a campsite right on the creek. We had a lovely swim in the creek. We cycled the Thermal Belt Rail Trail the next morning from the Gilkey end. We highly recommend this trail.

Not good at all
Yes they have firewood. It's oak, and hard to stay lit. Bring firestarter or lighter fluid.
Yes this is River Creek Campground in Rutherfordton. They have had flooding in past couple of years and are making repairs all through. It is a special place. Nothing fancy but great people come here to camp⛺🛻🚙
They have long term lot rentals. I am not sure what all is available right now though. I would call and ask. Very nice camp ground area, reasonable rates and right off the river.
They have a fridge, microwave and a coffee maker. I'd be happy to send you pics, but don't see where I can in my reply. Give me a bit...
Tent site, 30 RV site 35, per night for 2 people, 3.00 each extra person
Cabins are $60 to $85 a night depending on size and any guests over 4. Tent sights are around $25 a night.
