Florida Real Estate Institute is by far the most spectacular real estate training on the planet! Instructor Roy Brewer is absolutely sensational with his expertise in teaching, along with his fantastic wit & humor, which makes this course so easy to understand & get through! In addition, Dr. Boatwright, along with his incredible & amazing staff, are on hand to make sure your Real Estate experience is far superior to anything else on the market! If Real Estate is your dream as it was mine, this is the one-stop shop where you need to go & nothing out there compares to it in any way, shape or form! Thank you from the bottom of my heart for making my goal achievable!

I loved taking both my pre and post licensing courses here. Laura and Lee made the classes enjoyable and came up with many entertaining ways to help us retain the information, they were a lot of fun to listen to. I passed my state exam on my first try, the material that you get from the class is extremely useful. Even after having to wait a very long time to take my test after passing the pre licensing course, I was able to do extremely well on the state exam because of the material- side note: they tell you to schedule your state exam before you start your class- listen to them. I highly recommend this school and will continue to use them in the future

Hands down, one of the best school's for Real Estate. The instructors are very thorough and straight to the point. I'm going back for my Brokers License soon. Thanks.

I attended the 45 hour post licensing class taught by Roy Brewer quite some time ago (immediately prior to the COVID-19 outbreak early 2020) and as unbelievable as it may sound, the great examples used to help me understand concepts and his humor stuck with me. I find myself referencing things taught in his class, even with customers I've worked with recently. I have a handful of friends who has also entered the Real Estate Industry and I've recommended this school/instructor to them all!! Thank you Mr. Brewer and the FL Real Estate Institute!

When are your next weekend classes for the course to renew your license?
We do not offer MLO classroom courses. There is a link to MLO online courses on our website.
Thank you for contacting us. The education for the real estate sales associate license is $450 for classroom courses and $245 for the online self-study course. State fees for application, fingerprints, and testing total about $170.
After a student adds the course to the cart and proceeds to checkout the next screen will offer the textbook for purchase at a discounted price. If a student has already purchased the course then they may still purchase the textbook by visiting the online bookstore from the portal's home page.
Thank you for contacting us. The Residential Construction for broker post-licensing (30-hours) is only available in the classroom. Online we have the Brokerage Management and the Investment Analysis available. In the classroom it is Brokerage Management and the Residential Construction.
Thank you for contacting our school. Unfortunately, Florida and New York do not have any mutual recognition. However, Florida will accept experience from the other 49 states to qualify a person to directly pursue a broker license in Florida, skipping the sales associate level. To do so a person needs two years out of the preceding five years (24 months out of the last 60 months) with an active status and still hold that license in good standing to qualify. On our state's website, myflrodialicense.com, you can find the application for broker license using out-of-state experience. This application will indicate that the person needs to provide a certification of license history from the real estate commission in the state for which they are claiming experience. So, you will have to take a course and a state exam to get license. But you can decide between just getting the sales associate license or using experience from another state go straight to the broker level of licensing.
Licensees may pay their renewal to the DBPR by either logging in to their account at the DBPR website (myfloridalicense.com), or by calling the DBPR (850-487-1395) and pay using their automated system.
The next review we are taking reservations for is Oct. 19 - 20. Register early as these reviews do book up once we are a few weeks from its start date.
Thank you for inquiring. The upcoming sales associate post-licensing course in the classroom are: St. Augustine: Aug. 26-31, Mon. - Sat., 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM Jacksonville: Sept. 16 - 21, Mon. - Sat., 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM Classroom courses for post-licensing are only offered the few months prior to the license expiration dates the DBPR assigns of March and September each year. Many people take the post-licensing online. It is a little cheaper, self-paced, and the students do not have to log 45 hours of time like the classroom student. Online students simply need to work through the 14 chapters to unlock and take the course final at home. Some many finish much quicker than 45 hours. We offer a full refund within the first four chapters and prior to the online course expiring if a student does not like it for any reason.
Yes and no. FREI has always had the approval for the older Montgomery GI Bill but the newer Post 9-11 GI Bill only approves schools licensed through the Dept. of Education. Real estate schools are licensed through the Dept. of Business and Professional Regulation and have been for the 42 years we have been in business. I have tried twice to go through the VA approval process for the Post 9-11 and each time the obstacle is the Dept. of Education requirement. I still have students use the older GI Bill and some may use some other feature of the GI Bills like vocation rehabilitation or tuition reimbursement. FREI is willing to accept any third party paying for tuition and we will complete and sign any required forms.
The textbook is used to design the online course and is not required to successfully complete the course. Some students prefer to have a hard copy of the material either to study offline or to have beyond when the online course expires as reference to the principals, practices, and law as they practice the career.
The next State Exam Review is Jan. 19 & 20 and will be held at the Hilton Garden Inn in Orange Park. We do not offer the review in the Gainesville area.
