Went as a new patient today. Office is very modern and clean. Everyone is so nice. But it definitely feels like a money grab. Sit in the waiting room for more than 10 minutes and you’ll see a pattern of everyone coming in… balances of thousands upon thousands of dollars. I’ve had crowns over two root canals since childhood. Perfectly in place. Not giving me any issues. Every dentist I’ve been to has suggested replacing them for cosmetic reasons. Dentist immediately points out the crowns. In very explicit terms I tell her that unless they fall out, I have zero plans to get them replaced. Fast forward to checking out. I get handed a bill for over $1000 based on the recommended treatment plan. I ask what the plan is and I get told that the dentist included replacing the caps. I was very explicit in saying I didn’t want them replaced. Dentist even chuckled when I mentioned my plan was to die with those crowns unless they gave me issues. I found this extremely sneaky and off putting.

I have been here a number of times. My experience with them has deteriorated over the last 2 years beginning with incorrect charges and then they admitted that they didn't do my daughter's fillings correctly but we're going to have to have them redone. The final straw was April 29, 2022. I received an email April 25, 2022 to confirm my appointment which I did via their email link. (I was clearly told on a previous visit that I must confirm my appointment.) I actually clicked on it 3 times to make sure. My original appointment in February was rescheduled by them for this date and time. I arrived for my 7am appointment on Friday, April 29 and the office was closed with a sign on their door indicating they didn't open until 8am. I still have the email they sent me with the date and time. I don't understand why I was scheduled at a time they were closed. I sat in their parking lot and waited as long as I could until I had to leave for work. I left a message on their voicemail which NO ONE returned from their office. They didn't even care enough to call and apologize. Be prepared that Aspen Dental is a bigger dental business with lots of offices and you are just a number and money to them.

Bizarre. The scheduling office staff was very nice. Near the end of my 2 month wait, they sent me a text asking me to call and when I did, they needed to move up my son's and my appointment by an hour, which was no problem. I'd confirmed our first appointments by text, and then when I got the message for the new ones I also confirmed. The bizarre part is when we walked in the woman typed in my son's name and looked up at me to say "Because you didn't confirm, I am going to check to see if we can still get you in." Taken aback, I said that I had confirmed. She told me, more forcibly than necessary to sit and wait, which was very strange. A minute later a man walks out and bluntly states "We are all booked and can't get you in because you didn't confirm." When I started to tell him about confirming not once but twice, be cut me off and said he had no record of it. I took off work to go to these appointments and waited almost 2 full months for them. Now I am back where we started, and the man didn't even offer to reschedule or apologize for the inconvenience in any way. I have never walked into a business and had anyone, much less two people, be so instantly hostile toward me in my life. I cannot speak for the dentists, they may be wonderful, but this was a horrible experience with the staff.

The medical personnel was very knowledgeable and kind. I was called twice before my appointment to confirm my dental insurance. When I met with the billing rep to estimate the cost of the treatment, they stated they were not able to verify with the insurance, and that my plan is a basic option. According to them, my only option was to apply and charge $2,300 to Care Credit. I contacted my dental insurance and they covered 70% of the proposed cost with an approximate out of pocket of $700.00. The insurance company coordinated the treatment with another dental office willing to honor the provider contract. Definitively, Aspen is not an option if you have dental insurance.
