Our stay was decent. The cleanliness of the front entry and bathrooms are less than desirable. The room was clean and the amenities are nice. The coffee bar was not able to create a latte due to is so with the machine. They did have a new one in order. Bunkers was good and our waitress was GREAT!

The executive suites which will run you $200 on a week night are pretty run down and in need of some major TLC. Paint chipping, rust, and smelly. The staff was nice but not overly helpful, it took us 15 minutes to find the indoor pool because they kept directing us to the “leisure center” which is not marked anywhere on any signs. Indoor pool was also run down and dirty. All the activities extra cost money except for the pool and they are not cheap. $26 a person for most everything. Just a disappointing stay.

Disappointed from the service desk to the food. The grounds are lovely, but the food ranged from mediocre for breakfast to poor at the Bunkers. The service from the front desk to the sports Bar ( Bunkers) was slow. So slow. The room that we had was expensive with one small chair & a high-sided tub to step over to get to the shower. They did have quality toiletries. The golf course looked presentable, but the outdoor tennis courts were not fit to play on. Needs updating in many areas.

We took a quick Easter trip to Glade Springs and had a lovely time. The room was a King suite and was very clean. Bathroom was updated and beautiful. You can tell they are working on this resort and for that I give kudos- there is still updating to do but compared to other spa/resort prices, the price for our room and dinners was more than extremely reasonable for a resort that is beautiful and has the quality of a bygone era. Breakfast was good each morning, the Glades Grill offered delicious dinners, and the Easter buffet had fabulous food with the added touch of live music as the icing on the cake. The price for the buffet was more than reasonable. For comparison, we have been to top quality spa resorts in PA located in the middle of nowhere and have paid three times as much for room and food with not as much to do in the surrounding area. In two days, we did 4 hikes at the New River Gorge National Park (it is only 15-30 minutes to the park). It is only 10 minutes to Little Beaver State Park. The location of the resort allows outdoorsy people to stay in a beautiful place with great food, friendly staff, archery, fitness center, bowling, etc. while not keeping you captive to just the resort- there are lots of little diners and ice cream shops close by. We will definitely be back and I am sure by then, they will be even more updated. I say advertise more- this resort is a gem in WV not only with all its on resort amenities and beautiful setting and architecture but also all the activities that can be done in the surrounding area. Here’s to many more years of this beautiful place.

Try Googling their website and contacting the POA office, or the resort information line. Otherwise, I am not sure. 😊
