Westchester Family Care handled my mother's home health care initially. The aides were very attentive and helpful. The only reason they no longer handle my mother's care is because her Medicaid kicked in.

We have been dealing with WFC since March 2019 when my Mom began to need 24 hour aides. Covid has made this all more complicated. As always, WFC was more helpful than I could dare to expect. The women who care for my Mom are tops. I recommend this agency with 5 stars with absolutely no reservation. I am updating this 5/2021. WFC continues to deliver superb service. I am still more than pleased and would recommend to anyone needing help caring for a loved one.

What a life saver! Westchester Family Care came in quickly, professionally and compassionately to help my mom get the care she needs. Five years of exceptional care has come to an end. My parents received the love and attention from Glenn and his extraordinary team, and for that I will be forever grateful. We understand that everyone’s needs are different. To help our clients maintain their health and independence, we provide transportation services for medical appointments, shopping, errands, and more. Your assigned caregiver can provide transportation around Westchester County, NY, using their personal vehicle or yours, depending on your comfort. For those with greater mobility needs, pressing emergency matters, or who need to travel further, we partner with Uber Health and Assisted Transportation.

When you start your care journey with us, our trained staff will do an initial home assessment and provide recommendations on how to improve mobility and prevent falls. For example, we might recommend decluttering walkways, using a walker or cane, or installing a chair lift for stairs. If your loved one is being discharged, we will work with you to ensure proper care is maintained throughout. We will develop a formalized care plan monitored through a supervisory RN and assist with organizing spaces, repositioning, transfer assistance, and mobility assistance. We document our work to ensure we’re providing your loved one with the best care to avoid readmission. To further help seniors at home, we also partner with Philips Lifeline. It’s recommended that all older adults have a life alert system in their home in case of emergencies.
