My husband and I have been camping at this campground since 2015. No reservations but we've always been able to find a spot. Call Baxter Springs Police Department before arriving as the area sometimes floods and is closed. Lasted camp was in June 2022. New police chief has policy of a 3 day camping limit with extended stay upon approval. We were able to stay a week. Water and electricity sites are $10 but supposedly fee will increase to $20 in the future. Fees can be paid at police station or police will come to your campsite. There are lots of points of interest around the area relating to Route 66 and the movie, Cars; Frontier and Civil war history; flea markets; and much more. The Baxter Springs Museum is free and very impressive for a small town. We love Baxter Springs and we always find something new to see or do.

Great access on either side of the river. Camp sites are mostly electric and only $10/$5 primitive. I'll definitely be back. Fishing and boat launch ramp too.

Little primitive but it does have a water spicket and some electric sites. $5/night to camp tent. River is fishable but no place to swim.

Older and a little rundown but we had a really nice experience staying for the night. Water is turned off but electric was available. When you get in just follow the directions on the sign - it could not have been easier!

My friends an I usually just go in there an pitch camp in the park on the south side of the bridge. We have never been charged for being there, an we have been there several times an never had to pay. If the city comes around just them for being there.

$10 a night. It's a little sketchy, but beautiful
