Beautiful lake and good sized spots for tent camping along the shore. Not much shade in some spots, but great views and no sounds of traffic. The stars were bright for our visit as well. One downside is that it was very windy during the day and there wasn't enough tree cover to block it.

Camped on the East Side this weekend. Campground host Georgia was an ogre. Nearly, got into a collision with some of our group backing in when arriving because she thought she had to get the name changed on the post immediately. Called the ranger over from the west side as soon as my 8yr old and I started riding a little electric 4 wheeler and my one wheel. She insisted they had to have park stickers. Ranger agreed that the rule is ridiculous and decided to look the other way. Next day - same thing she called rangers even though for the most part we were staying off the road. This time they both talked to her only. Assume they told her to chill out. She should definitely NOT be a host. We've been to State Parks hundreds of times and only a couple times has this come up. Definitely put a damper on the weekend. With much higher fuel costs, camping fees and licenses, certainly don't need another reason to quit camping.

Camped right on the lake and watching the #waterskiers and relaxing. This is a beautiful and well maintained park. LOL this has turned out to be an alarmingly expensive overnight because there is an $8 per vehicle per day use fee ($16 for a overnight) on top of the $35.26 campground cost and various fees and taxes. The website does not make that at all clear. Not really a good deal for non water sports visitors.

Pretty awesome place, don’t let your dogs loose on the beach though they asked us not to. It’s a very clean park and well planned. Lots of fishing and places to walk. I would be bored after a weekend there but it’s definitely a fun day trip.

Didn't see specific bike trails however, the roads around and surrounding the lake are paved and there were people riding bikes on them.
I believe it is $21.00 per night plus tax for the electric camper sites. There is also an entrance fee of $30.00 annually or $5.00 or $6.00 per vehicle per day (camper is not an additional vehicle).
