We loved Rocky Ford! I saw the recent negative reviews and was a little nervous, but I think they are all from the same party b/c they are written at the same time. The staff at Rocky Ford are super great! We stayed here with 2 campers for 3 nights with 4 adults and 4 kids. Our spots were awesome, Peggy and Brad were fabulous and the river was amazing! Everything was perfect and we hope to be back - THANK YOU Rocky Ford!

If I could rate lower that one star, I would. Terrible customer service. Peggy made our trip unbearable. She was on such a power trip and seemed like she was out to ruin everyone's fun. This is a trip we make yearly and are debating coming back...and if we do we hope Peggy is in a better mood. I am sad it had to come to this. :(

We tubed here and were charged over $400 for "wear & tear" on the tubes they rented to us. The river is rocky and their is always a slight risk of damage if you are not looking for unexpected charges I would be very leery of staying at this outfitters. Their tubes were old and kind of warn down so it seemed as though they were looking to make some easy money off of the groups that come through their doors. We were greeted by a woman with a pen and paper marking down charges for anything they could come up with. We are avid river tubers and were actually shocked by this companies behavior and the way they handle their business. Their exit was rocky and rough and incredibly hard to get out on and I would not suggest coming back to this location if you don't want to get dinged up and beat up at the end!

We have floated the Niobrara over 10 times and we have never had a worst experience than at Rocky Ford. We needed an extra tube for coolers and 1 of their staff said "I really didn't expect on having to help you get an extra cooler tube today". The river was so low & we got stuck 20 times and had to walk which is understandable it's a risk on the river. We FINALLY get to the end we are greeted by 10 workers who are angry and letting us know they are going to be billing us for being late and continuing to argue with us. Incredibly unprofessional and aggressive. The man grabbing my tube was so drunk he couldn't talk straight. Will not be coming back and will be telling all our groups to not come back as well. Terrible experience.
