My sister in law, who lost her husband 5 years ago, recently passed away unexpectedly, leaving four children to mourn her loss. We contacted Funk Funeral Home and received a returned phone call from Anthony. We explained the situation to him and he was genuinely sympathetic and assisted us every step of the way. The entire staff was professional, kind and caring, especially with her children. I have planned services for other family members in the past and have had good experiences, but I can tell you that the Funk Funeral Home staff goes above and beyond. After the services, they gave us a portrait of my sister in law that was displayed next to her casket, a memory candle with her picture on it and flash drives for each of her children with the slide show that they created with pictures that we sent to them. These were very nice added touches that I have not received from other funeral homes and they will be very much appreciated by her children. Thank you Anthony, Chris and the entire staff for assisting us during an extremely difficult time. We greatly appreciate all that you did.

Speaking as an out of state family member at a wake and funeral service conducted by Funk Funeral home I felt supported and cared for during a very sad time, The facility was lovely, the staff, attentive and the photos and memories of the departed were wonderfully displayed to comfort all the guests who attended.

Chris, Thank you for your help throughout the process of laying my late Aunt and Uncle, Janet and Al Robidoux, to rest. Your knowledge of your field is quite impressive; I've learned a lot from you. Thanks for supporting my family and me during this difficult time. It is appreciated.

A friend of mine’s Grandfather passed away, and unfortunately she was unable to attend the service so she purchased a beautiful flower arrangement through FFH, and spent $85 on it. They ended up not putting out the flower arrangement, said they didn’t know what happened to her order, and the florist is now dodging her and her husbands phone calls because they’d like a refund, understandably. I find this not only extremely unprofessional and unethical, but so insanely hurtful, this is the last thing she should be worried about after just having lost her Grandfather. Attached is her order confirmation for identification purposes and proof of purchase. I really hope the right thing is done, and a refund is promptly issued. ***UPDATE*** It seems that after I left this review my friend finally was refunded. However, she did receive a call from the director of FFH who’s main concern seemed geared toward my low rating/review— saying he didn’t feel it was warranted, and he asked her to ask me to remove it. She has been taking this loss very hard and felt horrible for not being able to attend, and again, I find it very unprofessional that instead of calling and apologizing (which would have lead me to completely remove my review) they were more concerned with their ratings, which makes me wonder if they would’ve continued dodging her if I hadn’t left this. Therefore, I felt an update was sufficient to inform that a refund was made, but the way the home went about handling this mistake they made was less than graceful.
