Loving practicing yoga at CTPY! It has been a great experience so far and all instructors are super supportive, knowledgeable and patient. Great community to be a part of.

CTPY is a community unlike others which I've been a part of. The classes leave me feeling empowered, and at ease, often with a new or different perspective than how I showed up. I've had the opportunity to meet so many like- minded people who encourage me to be my best self each day. The studio is clean and welcoming, a place I am lucky to call hOMe!

I’ve been a student/teacher with CTPY since day 1 and am fortunate to call the space my home away from home. Some of my closest relationships have materialized from the community Aimee and Tim have created. Thank you for all you do for Stamford.

CT Power Yoga used to be one of my favorite places to go. I have been going to yoga, specifically hot yoga, on and off, for over 15 years. I have been all over the tri-state area. When I moved to Stamford, there weren't many hot yoga places to choose from so I decided to give CT Power Yoga a try. I even did my yoga teacher training there. Aimee was very helpful setting me up with a payment plan and working with me to the best of her ability, which I will always appreciate. That, however, has nothing to do with this review as I am commenting on my experience there and how it has left me feeling at the end of my "journey" with them. I always loved taking classes at CT Power Yoga. With the exception of a few, the teachers there have been great. There was always something about the owner, Aimee, though, that felt a little hypocritical. I could never quite pinpoint what it was. But I got a vibe from her from the beginning that she did not really practice what she preached. And I always felt a subtle dislike from her, probably mostly because I am as outspoken as she and because I like to challenge the status quo. Whatever it may be, though, I never felt quite "at home" there. I know it is not the actual reality but, to me, a yoga studio owner who preaches about "letting things go" and "compassion" and "seeing the good in people" but who doesn't actually practice any of those virtues just leaves a bad taste in my mouth. We all know that the covid/vaccine situation is a hot topic. Some of us, including myself, have strong opinions on things. And it is all ok. We are entitled to believe and share whatever we align with (supposedly) within the "safety" of our own social media pages. After a nearly four year relationship with Aimee and CT Power Yoga, Aimee actually went so far as to unfriend and block me on facebook because she did not agree with something I said. So much for letting go and practicing what you preach. She was actually willing to, and successfully did, end a relationship and lose a client over a difference of opinions and paradoxically, a judgement of my judgements. Either way, I think it is really sad. And karma has a funny way of working things out on its own. But it's pretty hurtful and hypocritical when a yoga studio/owner eradicates a relationship because they are basically having a temper tantrum. Especially one that you entrusted to set an example. I wish Aimee and the CT Power Yoga community the best of luck. Aimee has overcome a lot of things in her life and I'm sure has good intentions in most ways. But she has really left a negative mark on me with the way she handles herself professionally and personally.
