Got turned away only doing carry out, was horrible 3 car loads of upset people looking to have a good time at our favorite spot on a Friday night . At this point if you can't keep a staff maybe it's poor management idk but there's a problem. Gladly went somewhere else where we could dine and enjoy our food .

There are, of course, many different ways to evaluate a dining experience. Of the various attributes of a lunch-time meal, I place a good deal of emphasis on what we call in non-gustatory domains "price/performance." When I say that I always feel that I have enjoyed well-prepared food at an attractive price in this facility, please don't mistakenly think I am recommending the Genghis Grill as some sort of fast-food enterprise that just transforms volume operations into cheaper dining. Quite the contrary, the quality of the available ingredients, the range and variety of ingredients, and the conscientious method of preparation of each diner's meal leaves you with the feeling that you would like to meet the owner/chef who has made the choice of what to offer, not some corporate financial officer looking at the P&L. The medium-sized bowl with refill beverage is very fairly priced and far less than what you would pay for a sit-down Asian meal in most conventional restaurants. And to top this off, you get to choose exactly what your definition of that Asian foodstuff will be. If the location were closer to my home, I would dine here at least once per week. As it is not, but as the dining experience is so pleasant, I go out of my way to catch a lunch there as often as possible.

This restaurant has a wide variety of proteins, seasoning, veggies, sauces, and you can do fried rice, white rice, noodle or do half noodle and half rice. So almost everyone in my party got a small bowl except for two of them that got a regular bowl (as seen on the red bowl on the pictures). A small bowl is big enough for a person. You go down the line and tell them what you want. They really pack it and over pack it to allow you to select as much as you want in your bowl. Don't worry about room for rice and noodle because they will add it once it is cooking so your small bowl then turns into a medium to large bowl and its very fulling. The people in the protein and veggie line all were very professional and nice and without complaints of you running out of space in your bowl. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone and especially for large parties. I am giving this place 4/5 because of customer service lacking with our waiters. This is a nice location in town an apparently is family owned according to the waiter and that's why some drinks on the menu vary between this one and uptown. So we get in there and waiting time is about 6-10 minutes to get a waiter. The waiter's personality came off very strong and not as friendly nor professional. He was trying too hard to come off as welcoming but failed terribly. My brother asked for straws and he brought them and threw them on the table. He butcher our names when he brought our bowls. One of the female's waiter who brought my sister's bowl said her hand writing was too ugly to read.. our waiter also is not that greatest at giving advice on food options. He gave a bad review of the fried rice that he almost convinced my party to avoid trying the fried rice and I reassure them it was great and they all got half and half and enjoyed it as much as I have in the past.

Questions & Answers

How does Gengis grill handle things currently? Do the have dine in? Do you order and they serve? I am considering going but wanted to know how it works these days.

They offer dine in and take out. The only difference is that you don't fill your own bowl, they do it for you. You can still pick the options. They also have limited seating and you must wear a mask when not seated, like other restaurants. Hope this helps!
