Excellent experience, but some games are incomplete.

Awesome! Wide game selection, great atmosphere, fun staff. Great alternative choice for a night out.

nice spot with a loooooot of games and fun vibe

So here's the deal-- I LOVE this place and I honestly wish there were more like it. To my knowledge, it is the only board game bar in the city of its nature. Now there are other bars that do have board games but this particular spot is specifically catering to exclusively board games only (so no ping pong, darts, pool, none of that). It's a sit down and play kind of vibe. They do sell drinks but it's more just ciders and beers. They have 1 restroom and the best part? THE WALL OF GAMES TO CHOOSE FROM. You can also buy games as well. Cons -Small and Cramped space -Can't bring outside food Pros -Student Discount on weekdays -Reasonable Prices -Sells light snacks Tip -You may wanna call ahead before coming just to make sure that no one rented out the whole space. That happened to me and I was Hella disappointed because I walked 20 minutes to get there.

Yes you can, as long as the store isn't too crowded
Yes you can come alone. People are really polite and you just have to ask and they'll let you know if they have space for one more. unfortunately I don't know if there are pre scheduled game times. If there are the cafe doesn't post it anywhere. Good luck gaming!
Absolutely (though we suggest designers email to get in touch to setup an event if they are looking for feedback).
Tons! There are a few board game cafes in the city, but The Uncommons has the best/most extensive game collection and is my personal go-to.
Hi! Reservations are optional especially for smaller groups. Drinks are affordable for NYC (craft beer, locally roasted coffee- similar to other neighborhood shops).
No outside drinks allowed that I'm aware of.
Yes. They have two small tables for two players each, as well as two medium tables for four players each. 4 tables total (2 small and 2 medium).

Street parking is available but difficult. There is a parking garage across the street though!
Yes indeed!
We have a lot of Pokemon products- but rarely full booster boxes!
A table is 10 bux a person to reserve
We have an AL D&D group, but it's largely ongoing groups (ie not drop-in). Email for the private group link if interested! Our sister stores- hexnyc.com- have larger spaces, and more RPG events!
Yep!
Nope, just walk in ($10 per person for up to three hours).
Yep!
We do not, but our sister store hexnyc.com sells singles!
No, sorry! We can special order most items for you though!
I want to say yes, at the cashier, there is a box of full of dice and I'm pretty sure I saw a couple there.
It's a small space packed with games and people. There is a charge to get a table, as well. I would recommend against coming here to do anything but meet with friends for gaming.
You should really check their website. You can also drop by and really to the people there, all of them are super kind!
They do not carry singles, only sealed product.
