I brought my daughter into this office 5 months ago. The woman at the front desk asked what was wrong with my daughter and everyone in the lobby looking at me and my daughter, listening to the conversation. Employee should learn the patient’s privacy HIPAA law. And she asked me “ do you have insurance?” when I said yes , she said “that's good” there is something wrong with this. Please Hackensack Meridian train your people. I'm a nurse and former Meridian I follow patients' confidentiality

Terrible. Over two hour wait when only two other people in the office. Dirty.

The three times ive been there have always been a problem, from not knowing what tests to order to never giving a correct answer over the phone... just drove there today to get stitches removed bc person on phone told me it was fine, only to get there and be told they cant do it.... never again

The staff here is wonderful. I saw Dr. Mary O'Keefe. She's a terrific doctor. As of 6/22 I was told that this facility no longer takes my insurance. Ridiculous. If you have Braven Medicare Plus HMO don't bother to go there. When I went to have a tick location checked out, the woman at the desk was quite nasty and practically threw my insurance card at me. She was very dismissive. I told her that I had recently been there to see a doctor. She wouldn't even look at me or explain that they changed their policy. They also never bothered to notify the insurance company that they were no longer participating. I suggest going to CITYMD, in Toms River. Actually, it's a much nicer place. I'll miss Dr. O'Keefe.

Rapid antigen tests are most effective in people being tested at height of illness, when the virus’ presence in the body is highest. People with and without symptoms can get a PCR test to confirm their COVID-19 status. PCR tests are more accurate in detecting the virus in those without symptoms or those with symptoms who may not be at the peak of their illness.
Yes. All of our locations have rapid COVID-19 antigen tests. Our clinicians reserve the right to administer the test they deem best suited for each individual patient and his or her unique situation. Please note, we also continue to offer PCR COVID-19 tests, which can be more accurate in identifying the virus in people with and without symptoms.
At this time, we do not require pre-registration for COVID-19 testing. However, for your convenience, you may call to register over the phone and our team will assign you a COVID-19 testing timeslot. Please have your insurance information readily available when calling.
No. Our urgent cares are performing COVID-19 tests on both symptomatic and asymptomatic patients without a prescription. Your provider will talk to you about the best testing option for your unique situation.
As part of the Cares Act, regardless of your immigration status, if you are a New Jersey resident and do not have health insurance, COVID-19 test processing fees are waived at Hackensack Meridian Urgent Care locations. Please note, at the time of your COVID-19 test, you will also be seen and evaluated by a provider. Therefore, you will be billed by Hackensack Meridian Urgent Care for your in-office evaluation. You will not be billed by the lab that processes your COVID-19 test.
Insurance coverage for COVID-19 testing may vary. Please verify costs and coverage with your individual insurance carrier directly.
Please check with your doctor or surgery center to confirm how soon prior to your procedure you should get tested. COVID-19 test results are expedited for pre-op patients and are usually available within 24 hours.
Rapid antigen test results are available within 15 minutes. PCR test results are usually available within 24 hours, but can take longer depending upon volume and test availability. All of our locations offer x-ray, labs, and EKGs right on site. We do not perform CT Scans or MRIs.
Call them and ask.
My son went there Monday, no appointment and was seen within minutes. They did everything over the phone and the test from his car.
I only know the one who treated me - Dr. Herrel.
Yes, but you may be referred to the ER if there is a serious problem, or an MRI is needed.
There is no onsite pharmacy, but they can probably write one for you.
No, but you can register on line so you don't have to wait as long.
