I just passed my road test and I couldn’t recommend my driving teacher and coach, Avery Jones at Driverite, more highly! He took me from having almost no experience behind the wheel to driving around Brooklyn with confidence. His enthusiasm and encouragement are matched with his expertise and obvious passion for teaching people how to drive. He has put a lot of thought into the steps needed to be a great driver. He taught me to “always be curious” as I scan the road and assess what’s happening and what’s about to happen. Using his approach that “driving is science” he not only showed me best practices but explained why. I had him exclusively as my teacher at Driverite and he used each lesson to build on the one before. Learning to drive was a huge goal for me and thanks to Avery I feel like a champion. The best recommendation I can give is that I’m planning on sending my daughters to learn to drive with him next. Thanks also to Kim for recommending lesson packages and for making scheduling easy!

I’m a returning driver with many (many!) years away from the wheel and had a definite foreboding about confronting the road test again. Drive Rite was really great. Front desk staff is very friendly and I learned useful driving tips from each of the Drive Rite instructors I used. But Cory was especially helpful with my biggest challenge — parallel parking! He was very engaged and brought a really good energy to the process, explaining the steps and how to correct a miscalculation. He even texted step-by-step instructions and videos to look at between sessions, which was really helpful. Definitely would recommend! (P.S. Passed the road test!)
