I’m always impressed with Hawley Lane Dental. The staff is super friendly and explain everything in detail to keep you in the loop during your visit. Dr. Gretzula was also very friendly and made sure to take her time and explain everything in depth during her exam. Excellent customer service along with a clean and safe environment, I would say, is a win-win.

Questions & Answers

Can a toothache cause a sore throat or ear pain?

Hawley Lane Dental - Family Dentist of Stratford CT | Oct 14, 2019

Yes, when a person has a tooth infection, like a wisdom tooth or an abscessed molar, it's common to experience secondary symptoms like a sore throat or an earache. If you're experiencing these symptoms and suspect you have a tooth infection, it's important to get them checked out right away. If left untreated, an infected tooth can lead to a much larger health concern.

Hawley Lane Dental - Family Dentist of Stratford CT | Oct 14, 2019

Following a root canal, you may experience some soreness or tenderness for up to 48 hours. Severe pain or pain lingering beyond that may be the sign of another problem, either in the root canal tooth or another tooth. If you experience any severe pain, you should follow up with the dentist to ensure your condition does not worsen.

Do you have a root canal specialist??

Hi David, Some root canals are performed in-house by Dr. Gretzula. When necessary, we work with a fantastic local specialist office for root canals.
