If I could have put zero stars I would have. Went to the range with a 1800 gun to sight in. I guess that means that range Enforcement can come over and grab your gun and tell you how your doing everything wrong. Multiple times the gun was pulled out of my hands and sight moved on my gun. Went to the Manager and he said nothing was wrong because he was offering “help” last time I checked you don’t touch someone else’s fire arm with out permission. I would advise anyone who knows what they are doing and take pride in there guns. DO NOT waste your time or money driving the this joke of a range.

So the shooting range seems to be a really nice place, but the reason I’m giving it five stars is because of their employees. I had a flat tire right in front of their place thanks to the lack of upkeep on our county dirt roads. Anyway, that’s another review. I pulled in slowly on a Saturday morning a little before 8 AM with my totally flat tire and asked one of the guys that was in there if he could help me. He said of course! He came back with some big equipment and had me on the road in about 15 minutes. When I tried to give him some money, he wouldn’t take it and replied that he was a public servant. As a woman alone who didn’t even know how to get my spare tire out from underneath the car, I really, really appreciated his help. I didn’t have to call anyone to come and get me. I am so grateful. I wish I knew his name so I could think him personally, but I’m sure you know who he is. Thank you guys for doing an amazing job.

I went to shoot pistol with 2 novice shooters today and it was a great time. First off I want to say how amazingly clean and modern the facility is. Second, the range officers are professional and skilled at helping new shooters, which was a load off of me. This range is 5 star if you are just looking to plink at pre-set target intervals. On the other hand if you are a competent shooter looking to hone your skills, this is not the rifle or pistol range for you. I wish I could give this place 4.5 stars, this range really deserves it. Thanks Bay County for providing a modern and inexpensive range for everyone.

Discovered this place on our recent family vacation and it was a great surprise. The sporting clay course is well designed and offers a nice level of difficulty for even an experienced sporting clay shooter. Was not busy at all...the second day we went, we had the entire course to ourselves. Highly recommend this place!

I dont think they have any as long as your child can handle a gun. Our son started shotting at 6 there with a 22 rifle and a ar 15
I took my daughter(11) and son(13) shooting there a couple of times
Great TY. Will stop by next month.
Jeff can go but I wouldn’t bring anyone more than that
They have range officers who would be glad to help. There is a 10 minute video about weapon handling, safety etc on the range. Also just about anyone out there using the range will help you. It is sort of an unwritten rule and tradition among sportsmen and women to pass on knowledge, and further the sport among enthusiasts. For your information, do not bring the gun loaded (or with loaded magazine in it to range). Only load it at the station on pistol or rifle range.
I asked about this week's schedule and was told they would reopen on Friday, regular hours.
I shoot there occasionally. No reservations are required for sporting clays, although you might want to call ahead to make sure your date doesn't conflict with a tournament. They do have 20ga shotguns for rent (Browning I believe), but I don't know the cost. For sporting clays you per clay. There is no additional per shooter charge. You can also rent golf carts. The 18-stand loop is over a mile. It is a nice facility, owned by the county, and run by the state FWC.
They have an area beside one of the rifle ranges where they set up a target so you can sight in your shotgun or test your choke pattern. I don't know about shooting slugs from a shotgun. I'd just call and ask. They are very responsive to needs for all types of shooting sports.
I am not aware of any seasonal pass. It's $10 per day per shooter whether you stay one hour or several. That gets you the use of the pistol and rifle ranges. On the sporting clays course, there is no per person or per day charge. You pay based on the number of clays your group shoots. They are closed Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
At the pistol and rifle ranges, they provide the mounting boards and staplers, but you have to provide your own targets. They do have various types of targets for sale in the office where you sign in.
They are closed on Tuesday and Wednesday
No if your in panama city jay's does
I believe the pistol and rifle ranges could be safely accessed and used in a wheelchair. I can't remember if the shooting stands for sporting clays have steps or ramps for access. The parking lot is gravel, so that could be an issue, depending on the tires/wheels on the wheelchair. The office and restrooms are fully accessible.
Minimal damage some down trees and a few other things but have since recovered and back fully operational
They have them.
10.70 will include the pistol, 50 yard range, 100 yard range, archery If you want to shoot the 300 yard range it's an additional 5.00
They are open and did survive Micheal with minimal damage
Dont have to have a permit just come in and pay the range fee the pass is good for all day. have no rental handguns or rifle but do have rental shot guns. They do have golf carts that are 20 a piece
It could. Depends on what your country firearms laws are. You could here but when you return home their could be a problem.
Yes there is and later on in the future there will be 3D targets
For skeet shooting only
25 yds with varying distance target stands. For close quarter practicing.
$10 all day long. You can get there at 9am on the weekend, 10 on Mon, Thu & Fri, leave and come back and shoot until 5pm.
300 yard with some challenging targets. Golf balls, steel gongs in shape of various animals. There is also a target stand where you can hang a target up.
Can i pratice with my shotgun on the range
