Such a wonderful, unique, historic venue to enjoy a live jazz performance.

Saw God on the back row. We talked about Mary Halverson, she is a big fan.

Very good, I liked it
youna chio
I was really surprised that the pianist played without a miss..! It was a little disappointing for the drummer and other people, but it was all good~ Cocktails are a bit expensive, and I think you can get them cheap (?) if you just order a regular drink!! I did not use any additional tips because 20% of the tip is included as standard..!

Not food at village vanguard, drinks are reasonable
Preferably at least half an hour early, even with reservations you'll still have to wait
It is friendly and welcoming. It is a beautifull place to listen music. You can walk around the neighborhood, Greenwich Village and to enjoy the views.
Not that I am aware but check the schedule on the website. I've been hearing about a joint in Philly called South that has them, though. Hope to check it out soon.
One of the iconic jazz venues, undoubtedly.
The entrance costs 30 dollars. Smalls and Mezrrow 20
Non
You would have to call
Reservations are a must. Shows often sell out
Its 21 since there is a minimum drink requirement
Yes you can.
A magical place, an incredible unforgettable memory
No concerns at all.As long as they respect the quiet/mobile phone policy during the performance.
Yes.
I reserved online and still had to wait in linw for a long while... Do yourself a favor and get the tickets with anticipation 😉
I advise buying a ticket online, but you can buy at the door if seats remain.
Kids are allowed but be mindful that some of the sessions are "silent" so they enforce the quiet.
🤔🤔maybe it's better you call directly the club...
If you go to the venue's site, the upcoming performances are featured. Just scroll down to the dates you want. I will scanned and didn't see anything for 10/15 but Fred Hersch Duos has a 10/16 date. Happy listening!
Definitely. You may get seated at a table with someone else who's also alone, but you don't have to talk to them :) just enjoy the music.
Yeah, i did the same, as long as you are with an aduly you can drink too
Don't know but they do have other non alcoholic beverages and the music is fantastic very much recommend to come and enjoy the music.
During performances, QUIET IS ENFORCED. We're a jazz club, not a chat room. Children under the age of 13 are not admitted. There is no price reduction for minors.
No. Be free.
Before each set the audience is directed not to take pics or do audio recording. However, if you wanted to take pics of the club, before the set, I expect that's standard tourist behavior. Ask at the door, or your server.
