I am so dissatisfied in my experience with this company. Eaglerock bought the property in December of 21 and it has been a mess ever since. They are most definitely price gouging for the area. The front gate is always open at night, so get ready. The property itself has had 2 major fires within a two year period. The rent prices were going up but the quality of the front office has gone WAY down. They don’t know which way they are coming or going. The company is trying to use computer calls and websites to manage things instead of actual people. They do not answer their phones very often, and when they do there is some unprofessional individual who was never taught phone etiquette. You can ask them about fixing multiple things, but don’t plan on it getting done. Oh, for sure, the office can be days or weeks late fixing an issue, but if you are a day behind on rent them fees are coming for you. They demand a 90 day notification of leaving, anything less you will be charged a fee that is somehow legal. Other places have always stuck behind the 30 day notice. The energy bills here are RIDICULOUS. No insulation. Winter hits, and somehow managing the snow is your own responsibility even though you are paying them rent. The company is very behind on salting and shoveling the walkways, so be careful anyone who walks on two legs. There are a lot of little dog owners who leave little dog poop everywhere. They really made the more responsible owners and those who have larger dogs look bad. Never had an issue with larger dog owners. Some how the big dog owners are much better at managing their dog’s mess. People are always speeding through the community, like they are gonna get home any faster if they accidentally hit one of the kids out playing. there is a lot of noise from the company across the street and the highway. Walmart is considered a luxury according to this place.… what a joke. They had roofs replaced on a couple buildings. The companies left metal nails and trash EVERYWHERE. Be careful if you walk in flip flop, they will go through your flop. The only positive was the spring when the trees bloomed. Otherwise it was a very disappointing experience for as much money as they took from me.

The new management is a mess. They replaced all the old staff. It's a different employee every time you go to the office, which means you have to explain your situation to different employees over and over again. No one can really help you with your problem. They just give you all kinds of excuses, keep telling you they'll fix the problem and get back to you, and then nothing. You have to go back to the office and find someone, and a different person again who will leave you to a different person. A simple problem takes over 2 months, and I've talked to 5 different people in the office so far, but no one is helping with the problem right now.

They sent my deposit to my deadbeat roommate despite that the W9 is in my name. That's money I'll never see again. Not really a gated community either, the gate was open 98% of the time but you still pay a "gate fee." Also still had to pay for amenities while the gym etc were closed due to COVID. Merritt Park loved sending nag emails about someone smoking while every Boomer in town smoked a pipe outside after dinner. One parking space per household otherwise walk 10 minutes to the guest parking. Appliances all had date stamps of October 2000 (21 years old when I moved in) and $400/mo energy bills were common. They never shoveled the walkway to my building and the front door was open most of the time because the lock AND retracting mechanism were broken for months. Then Eagle Rock came in. Now NO ONE answers emails. Calling maintenance requires going through a phone tree loop (cause LOL at the thought of emailing them). Wanted to raise the rent to like $2500/mo for a 2 br... in Fishkill. Typical NYC company screwing the Hudson Valley for the lolz.

Great Palce to Live if you DONT want Hot Water in the winter. I hope Egal Rock does better Maitanance than Merrit.
