Great experience....Instructors are great...I just graduated from here. Thanks to all for a great learning experience.

During my time here I've enjoyed it. The instructors are high energy and know their stuff. Lunch that was provided was good everyday. It's class and hands on learning things involving the railroad so everyone's experience will be different. They did the best job they could to help and set folks up to be successful in a fun, but professional way.

Outstanding place to work for or travel with.

You must go online and apply for an train engineer or other CSX jobs.
Yeah you have to become an employee, which they are in a hiring phase, and the hiring process takes a couple months. then you'll have to take an entry-level position which is Conductor. It can take 4-6 years to be selected for engineering training. And they haven't had a Engineering class in a couple years. Because they are short on conductors.
Depends on what department you're in. Engineering is typically Fairfield Vinings

The way it's laid out is the course is 3 weeks. Week 1 is all book work, except for your hang test where you must hang from the ladder for 4 min while doing hand signals. This you must pass and have 3 attempts if you don't pass it your done. Week 2 is a mix of inside and outside as with week 3. You have a quiz Wends and Fri of weeks 1 and 2. You also have a test on the 2nd and 3rd week that Covers all stuff learned the previous week. Quizes are 40 percent of your grade and test are 60. You must maintain a 90 percent or above and then you must get a 90 percent on your final as well. The signals test is a mandatory 100 percent with 5 chances as well. Then your off to OJT where you will get more test and another signals test that you must pass.
I'm no expert, but to my knowledge, everyone there had regular feet. There were no square ones in sight. Lol
