Be Bent

This is the most monopolized business I have ever came across. My child tried to send an invitation to an individual that wrote a recommendation letter that was not a teacher or guidance counselor and experienced an issue. She tried assigning the individual as she has to others and came across a problem. The University that she was applying to does in fact accept other recommendations outside of the usual ones. Common App kept responding with she needed to assign the person then invite. I tried and my daughter to assign the individual and it would not work. After more than several times of contacting Common App my child just gave up. Thanks a lot Common App for all of your great assistance. There should be a better way to resolve an issue and submit necessary docs than getting our kids more stressed out with an app that does not obviously work 100%.

The common app service charged me and when I submitted my application it didn't submit. when I found out about their error, I got an extension from the college I was applying to; however, common app prevents re-submission. When I tried to use common app's online chat function during the instructed business hours there was no help to be found. So, not only am I out the 80 dollar fee for my submission but i am also forced to wait until next semester to apply to schools
